Stacey O'Haire Fahey is Proskauer’s inaugural Pro Bono Counsel located in the New York headquarters. She has been charged with firmwide responsibility for the administration of Proskauer’s Pro Bono Program, working in conjunction with the firm’s Pro Bono Initiative Committee. This committee, Chaired by Scott Harshbarger of our Boston office, is a policy-making body established to determine how best to implement the delivery of pro bono representation on a firmwide basis. The Pro Bono Initiative Committee is composed of designees from each of the Departments located in the New York office, as well as a representative from each of the firm’s national and international offices. Stacey also is a member of the firm’s Diversity Steering Committee.
Prior to her appointment as Pro Bono Counsel in 2006, Stacey’s practice at Proskauer focused on the not-for-profit sector in matters such as complex corporate governance issues. She regularly advised not-for-profit tax exempt organizations, such as private foundations, health care organizations, educational institutions and arts organizations, on federal and state regulatory matters and governance practices.
