Julianne Apostolopoulos is an Associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department, resident and a member of the firm's Appellate, Employment Litigation & Arbitration, and Non-Competes & Trade Secrets Groups, resident in the Newark office. Julianne regularly represents financial institutions, law firms, and universities and other leading companies in diverse industries. Her extensive litigation experience includes significant appellate work as well as federal and state court matters involving a wide variety of claims such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and tort liability. Julianne also represents employers in administrative proceedings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and related state agencies. In addition, Julianne has significant experience in the academic context counseling universities in a variety of employment and student issues.
Julianne has an active pro bono practice and received a Proskauer Golden Gavel Award in recognition of her pro bono work relating to the protection of endangered species.
After graduating from Fordham University School of Law, where she was a member of the Fordham Law Review and received the Constitutional Law Award, Julianne clerked for Judge. Laura M. LeWinn of the New Jersey Appellate Division. Prior to joining the Proskauer, she completed internships with the Public Defender's Office of Essex County and the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey.
