John C. Stellabotte is a Senior Counsel in the Litigation Department and a member of the Patent Law Group in New York. John is an intellectual property and commercial litigator with experience in federal and state court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and regulatory investigations. His practice focuses on intellectual property and trade secret litigation, and counseling.
John's work has included patent and trade secret counseling concerning business methods; patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation concerning optical cross-connects, object-oriented computer software, and other telecommunications equipment; and patent and trade secret licensing disputes involving pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, software, and telecommunications equipment. John also has assisted in evaluating patents for inclusion in a patent pool involving large consumer electronics and entertainment companies concerning DVD technology.
In addition, John has significant general commercial litigation experience. He has handled civil antitrust investigations and suits concerning mergers, tying arrangements, and monopolization claims in a variety of industries; securities fraud class actions and SEC investigations; hostile takeover litigation; and false advertising litigation. John also has significant experience in federal securities and state litigation involving claims concerning transactions on which investment banking firms have provided fairness opinions.
