Deidre Grossman is Special Counsel - ERISA Litigation in the Labor & Employment Law Department. She litigates the full gamut of employee benefits cases, spanning from class action lawsuits alleging violations of ERISA's fiduciary duty and prohibited transactions to individual claims for benefits and interference/retaliation claims. When she is not litigating, Deidre devotes substantial time to counseling clients on how to administer their employee benefit plans in accordance with ERISA's reporting and disclosure requirements, and on how to avert litigation under ERISA's fiduciary and prohibited transaction rules.

In 2001, after practicing at Proskauer for a number of years, Deidre had the unique opportunity to relocate to London, where she qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, trained in U.K. pensions law, and continued her career in employee benefits law and litigation, while expanding her experience to include employee benefits issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. When she returned to the U.S., Deidre resumed her ERISA litigation and counseling practice at Proskauer.

Deidre is a frequent speaker, particularly for ALI-ABA, where she represents the defense perspective on a variety of ERISA litigation issues.
