Brian S. Neulander is an Associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department and a member of the firm’s Heath Care Reform Task Force, resident in the New Orleans office. Brian focuses his practice on ERISA litigation, where he handles matters involving both employee benefits and fiduciary breach law.
He defends plan sponsors, plans, directed trustees, and other service providers in all phases of single-plaintiff and complex litigation involving ERISA’s fiduciary duty provisions, reporting and disclosure requirements, benefit claims procedures, preemption of state law claims, plan investment losses, and other federal and state laws affecting employee benefits.
Brian is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola College of Law in New Orleans, where he teaches “Introduction to ERISA Litigation,” and is also a co-chair of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, Employee Benefits Committee’s subcommittee on Tax Treatment of Welfare Benefit Plans.
