Brad Bobroff is a senior associate in the Litigation Department. He is an experienced counselor, litigator and trial lawyer whose broad practice involves a wide variety of complex, high-stakes commercial and fiduciary litigation matters. He represents public and private companies and high-net-worth individuals, most often in state or federal courts in New York, Delaware and Florida, and before domestic and international arbitration panels.
Brad typically handles matters involving contract disputes, fraud, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, disputes between and among trust beneficiaries and trustees, intellectual property disputes and professional negligence claims. He has extensive litigation and arbitration experience at all stages of the legal process, including strategy development, investigations, discovery, substantive and procedural motions, and representing clients at mediation, in settlement negotiations and at trial. In addition, clients often call upon him to serve as outside general counsel, a role in which he is known for providing pragmatic and sound advice.
Earlier in his career, Brad was selected to serve as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel as part of a Proskauer externship program with the City of New York. While working for the city, he served as a trial lawyer in the Manhattan Trial Unit, where he was lead trial counsel in 17 cases brought against the city. In a number of these trials, he was able to convince the court to dismiss all claims and direct a verdict in favor of the city before the case ever reached a jury.
Brad maintains an active pro bono caseload and has received numerous awards for his tireless commitment to pro bono clients. He currently heads Proskauer’s public service deposition and trial programs, supervising and mentoring dozens of young litigation and labor associates in their defense of all varieties of claims brought against the City of New York. He also serves as a board member of the Young Professionals Committee of the Innocence Project, a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated both to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent further injustice.
New York Super Lawyers named Brad a “Rising Star” in 2013 and 2014.
