Bernard M. Plum is a Partner in the Labor & Employment Law Department and co-head of the Labor Management Relations Group.  He focuses mainly on collective bargaining, arbitration, and strategic planning in the newspaper, arts, entertainment and utilities industries. He has served as chief spokesperson and strategist in a wide variety of collective bargaining situations, and also has litigated labor and employment matters in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois and California.

Bernie has, for many years, served as chief spokesperson for Broadway theater owners and producers, including in the recent groundbreaking negotiations with Local 1, IATSE. He represented Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road in their precedent-setting suit to enjoin sympathy strikes by railroad workers in support of striking Eastern Airlines Machinists, as well as many other employers faced with unlawful work stoppages. Among the employers Bernie represents are The New York Times Co., The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Broadway League, The New York City Ballet, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Hall, impreMedia, City Center of Music and Drama, Inc., PPL, Inc., and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
