Béatrice Pola is a partner and co-head of the French and EU Employment Group. She represents some of France’s largest employers in the automobile, photo manufacturing and financial services sectors. She regularly represents employers in litigation against unions and work councils. Her practice concentrates largely on French labor law issues for employers involved in cases concerning employees working in France or French expatriates, when local law may apply.
Béatrice also advises clients in all areas of employment-related issues, including hiring, termination, wrongful dismissal, collective layoffs, discrimination, harassment, application of collective agreements, individual settlement agreements, temporary employment contracts and union or personnel representative electoral procedures. She has significant experience handling hearings and regularly appears before labor and criminal courts, as well as courts of general jurisdiction. Consistently ranked in many major legal directories, Chambers Europe notes that Béatrice "has earned the respect of market commentators with her skilled handling of difficult litigation cases."
Béatrice regularly speaks at various industry conferences. She moderates the human resources specialists breakfast panel in collaboration with Actuel RH in Paris. She is a frequent speaker at "Les matinées débats de la Lettre des juristes d’affaires," training for lawyers and human resources professionals and organizes regular training sessions for her clients and hosts monthly meetings with a panel of experts to discuss sensitive topics in employment with the specialized employment press agency AEF. Her published work includes Private Individuals' Excessive Debt, The Application Of The Law On Private Individuals' Excessive Debt and other articles in specialist labor law publications.
