Audrey Bender is Special Real Estate Counsel in the Real Estate Department, resident in the New York office.
With over 30 years of experience, Audrey advises clients on a broad range of real estate matters including office and retail leasing from both the landlord and tenant perspective and the acquisition and sale of office buildings and hotels. She also assists debtors in bankruptcy liquidation with the disposition of owned and leased properties. Her clients include landlords, tenants, retailers and investors.
Previously, Audrey was General Counsel at a major national real estate and development company, where she focused on hotel management affairs, acquisition and sale of properties, commercial office and retail leasing, mortgage financings, construction loan financings, and the development and construction of new condominium townhouse properties.
Audrey has been recognized by the New York State Bar Association as Empire State Counsel and by the firm with its Golden Gavel Award for providing pro bono real estate assistance to the William J. Clinton Foundation and My Sister’s Place, an organization that serves victims of domestic violence.
Recent office and retail leasing transactions include the representation of Vornado Realty Trust, Hines Interests Limited Partnership, SJP Properties and Saks Fifth Avenue, Inc.
