Andrew E. Rice is an Associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department and a member of both the Labor Management Relations Group and Employment Law Counseling & Training Group.
Andrew assists clients with labor law matters in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and in arbitrations, as well as in collective bargaining. He also has represented clients in state and federal court employment litigation, administrative proceedings, and employment arbitrations, including breach of contract, tort, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage/hour claims. In addition to handling litigation and dispute resolution, Andrew counsels clients on day-to-day labor and employment issues and labor and employment issues attendant to corporate restructuring. He has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including sports, entertainment, legal, retail, financial services, higher education, government, and newspaper and publishing.
Andrew’s pro bono work includes his participation in the Holocaust Reparations Project, a program created by Bet Tzedek Legal Services. He also has represented the City of New York on a pro bono basis, both in labor grievance arbitrations on behalf of the Office of Labor Relations and in depositions for the Brooklyn Tort Division of the New York City Law Department.
