Government Contractor Compliance & Relations

Overview Press Room

Overview

More and more companies are doing business with the U.S. government while, at the same time, the U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, with an increased budget and staff, is stepping up its scrutiny of contractors, making federal contract and affirmative action compliance critical to ensure a contractor's continued business with the government. Companies that provide services and goods to state and local governments have similar compliance requirements.

Our Government Contractor Compliance & Relations Group counsels clients in all aspects of federal, state and local government contract compliance and works with them in trade and industry associations to ensure that the interests of employers are represented in the legislative and regulatory process. Given that every client has individual needs and goals, we work with each to develop government contract compliance programs that meet those needs and goals.

Our lawyers have testified before Congress, submitted comments to agencies in connection with the proposed adoption and implementation of regulations and provided input into the drafting of new laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA). By virtue of our contacts and experience, our lawyers are able to provide unique insight into the legislative process and history behind the many new and pending laws impacting companies that are government contractors, providing unmatched guidance on compliance.
