French & EU Employment

Overview Experience Press Room

Overview

The labor and employment laws across Europe differ significantly, making a specialized knowledge of the statutes, regulations and rules in the full range of jurisdictions across the continent of utmost importance to companies operating in the region. Our French & EU Employment Group untangles this web for some of the region’s largest companies, as well as those based elsewhere in the world with operations in Europe, delivering results by combining a thorough understanding of French, UK and European labor law and culture.

An integral part of one of the world’s preeminent labor and employment law practices, we provide critical local support to clients doing business in Europe by managing the labor law ramifications of operational issues, including corporate restructuring, reductions in force, mergers and acquisitions and other matters as well as the full gamut of issues relating to labor and management relations, workplace law and immigration. We develop creative solutions for our clients in order to achieve the delicate balance of complying with European labor law while fulfilling their business objectives.

Our practice and its co-heads have been commended by Chambers Europe for their “success in handling the most delicate cases.” Co-head Yasmine Tarasewicz is hailed for her “superior negotiation skills and strategic vision” and for her “superb reputation and strong leadership in the field” while co-head Béatrice Pola is praised as a “thorough lawyer” with “strong technical know-how and good judgment.”
