Proskauer Rose Named One of Country’s "Best Places to Work" by Human Rights Campaign Foundation

September 3, 2008 (New York, N.Y.) - Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm with more than 750 lawyers worldwide, announced it has been named one of the country's "Best Places to Work" in the annual survey conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.

Proskauer Rose earned the top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), joining the ranks of 259 other major U.S. businesses that received top marks for their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and consumers.

"This achievement is the direct result of our ongoing commitment to diversity throughout the firm," said Allen I. Fagin, Chairman of Proskauer Rose. "We all take great pride in the differing backgrounds, personalities and philosophies that comprise Proskauer's workforce and we are proud to be recognized for our dedication to maintaining and supporting them."

The CEI rated 583 businesses in total, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits and domestic partner benefits. Proskauer's efforts in ensuring LGBT equality in each of the survey's main criteria earned it the prestigious 100 percent ranking.
