GBLS provides free legal assistance and representation to thousands of low-income individuals and families in Boston and 31 additional cities and towns in Massachusetts.
Formed in 1976, GBLS is New England's largest legal services organization. With a staff of close to 100 attorneys and paralegals, the organization specializes in nine different units that include Asian Outreach, Elderly, Employment, Family Law, Health & Disability, Medicare Advocacy, Housing, Immigration, and Welfare.
Mr. Bauer founded Proskauer's Boston office, which has been named the city's fastest-growing law firm for three consecutive years by Boston Business Journal, and is one of the leaders of the firm's Patent Litigation Practice Group. He has more than 25 years of experience, with a practice that focuses on complex patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright and licensing litigation and dispute resolution. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, respectively, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law.
