Proskauer Rose Widely Recognized in 2008 Chambers USA

24 Percent Increase in Individual Rankings, 8 Percent Increase in Practice Rankings

June 13, 2008 (New York, NY) - Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm with more than 750 lawyers worldwide, has been widely recognized in the 2008 edition of Chambers USA, an annual directory of America's leading business lawyers.

The firm received 82 individual lawyer rankings, an increase of 24 percent over 2007, and 27 practice rankings, an eight percent increase over 2007. Proskauer has experienced a 91 percent increase in individual rankings and a 35 percent increase in practice rankings since 2006.

The firm experienced its largest increase in individual and practice rankings in the national category, with eight new individuals listed, a 62 percent increase, and three new practices listed, a 60 percent increase. The firm's Boston office also experienced a significant increase, with five new individual rankings, up 42 percent from last year.

Proskauer is recognized across all of its national offices and departments and important practice areas in this year's Chambers, with its national sports law and ERISA litigation practices receiving top rankings in addition to its New York-based labor and employment, health care, and false advertising practices and its Boston-based private investment funds practice.

Proskauer's practices recognized in the 2008 Chambers USA also include its: national fund formation, buyouts, labor and employment, lodging and gaming, privacy, and wealth management practices; New York-based corporate/M&A, employee benefits and executive compensation, environment, immigration, insurance, litigation, and real estate practices; Boston-based banking and finance, intellectual property, and tax practices; Los Angeles-based labor and employment practice; and Newark-based labor and employment and immigration practices. Chambers' practice-based rankings reflect Proskauer's established prominence in these fields, based on the firm's handling of a wide range of matters throughout the year.

"It's enormously gratifying that our success and growth as a firm in the last year has been so widely recognized by our clients, colleagues and peers, whose input determine the Chambers rankings. I would like to congratulate all of our lawyers," said Allen I. Fagin, Chairman of Proskauer Rose.

The annual Chambers USA rankings are determined from interviews with clients and lawyers across the country. The results are independently audited and based on a number of criteria including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by clients.
