Practitioners Selected by Peers as Leaders in 22 Practice Areas
July 19, 2006 (New York, NY) - Eighty-three attorneys at Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm with more than 650 lawyers in the United States and Europe, have been listed in the inaugural edition of New York Super Lawyers 2006, a guide to the top attorneys in the New York metropolitan area.
The attorneys included in New York Super Lawyers 2006, which accompanied the July 17 edition of The New York Times, encompass 22 practice areas in Proskauer's New York office. The attorneys who made the list were nominated by their peers and were selected based on peer recognition and professional accomplishments including verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, and honors and awards, among other criteria.
"I congratulate every lawyer named, and am extremely pleased that the firm made such a strong showing in this prestigious ranking," said Allen I. Fagin, Chairman of Proskauer. "It is truly remarkable that 83 of our attorneys have made this list - it's an incredible testament to the quality of lawyers at the firm and our historic position as one of New York's finest providers of legal services."
Singled out among the Proskauer attorneys included in the 2006 Super Lawyers are: Lawrence J. Lipson, Bettina B. Plevan and Jay David Waxenberg, who were named among "The Top 100" New York lawyers; Kathleen M. McKenna and Bettina B.
