John K. Kelley is an associate in the Corporate Department. Mr. Kelley has a general corporate practice with a particular emphasis on representing private equity funds and managers in capital formation and investments. Mr. Kelley also represents institutional investors with respect to investments in private equity funds.
Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, Mr. Kelley practiced corporate law at a large Boston law firm, where he represented public, private and emerging growth companies in M&A transactions, advised early-stage companies in structuring and maintenance matters, represented corporate and venture capital clients in all phases of private equity financing and buyout transactions and advised public companies in connection with securities law compliance.
Mr. Kelley received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, School of Arts and Sciences in 2000, and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 2004. At Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Kelley was a Note Editor on the Suffolk University Transnational Law Review and a Member of the Suffolk University National Moot Court Team.
Mr. Kelley is admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts (2004).
