Biography:

Sheri Drucker Davis is a senior associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. She resides in the Chicago Office of Proskauer Rose LLP.

Sheri practices in the area of complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance and reinsurance disputes. She has represented corporate policyholder clients engaged in U.S. and international insurance and reinsurance coverage actions, as well as mediations, arbitrations, insolvencies and settlements.

Sheri has also represented corporate and individual clients in securities litigation, governmental investigations, and internal corporate investigations. As part of her practice, she has assisted in the litigation of cases before judges and juries in state and federal court, including the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Recent representations have included:

  • Representation of a Fortune 100 company in litigation, private arbitrations and settlement discussions to successfully recover hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for claims based on former sale of asbestos-containing products.

  • Representation of an insurer of manufacturing plants damaged by hurricanes in international arbitration and litigation against reinsurers.

  • Representation of credit arm of auto manufacturer in relation to attempted class action alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

  • Representation of a former corporate CEO in a securities class action suit arising from the company's acquisitions.

  • Representation of a software company and certain of its directors and officers in derivative and securities litigation arising from the company's failure to meet earnings projections.

Sheri served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark Filip, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois from 2006-2007. She is a 2001 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the National Trial Team, served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of International Law & Business, and was named "Best Student in Trial Advocacy." Sheri also holds a B.S.J. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
