Jesse I. Redlener is an associate in the Corporate Department of Proskauer Rose LLP and is a member of the Junior Capital Group.
Jesse has a general corporate practice with an emphasis in finance transactions, particularly those involving mezzanine, second-lien, preferred stock and other forms of junior capital. The Junior Capital Group represents a large array of mezzanine lenders, senior lenders, private equity investors, hedge funds and issuers in connection with leveraged buyouts, growth capital investments, acquisition financings, going-private transactions, management buyouts and other finance-related transactions. He also has experience representing creditors, debtors and trustees in complex Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, Jesse was a corporate associate at a Boston law firm where he was a member of the commercial finance and bankruptcy groups. He also clerked for Chief Judge Henry J. Boroff, United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Jesse received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in 1996 and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2000.
Jesse is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (2001), the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts (2002), and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (2003).
Jesse is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association and the Boston Bar Association. He also serves as co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association's Practice, various roles in the Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Procedure Committee of the Bankruptcy Law Section.
