Edward Demetriou is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Investment Funds Group at Proskauer Rose LLP. Edward has a general corporate practice with a particular emphasis on representing private equity funds and managers in capital formation and investments.
Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, Edward practiced with Preti, Flaherty, Beliveau & Pachios, LLP, where he represented a diverse range of clients in general corporate matters and commercial transactions.
Prior to practicing law, Edward was an information technology consultant and applications developer with TenFold Corporation in San Francisco and Boston. During his career at TenFold Corporation, he served as the technical lead on a team developing a state-of-the-art portfolio management and trading system.
Edward received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2004, serving on the Vermont Law Review and graduating magna cum laude. He holds a diploma in Law and a Certificate of Legal Practice, with commendation, from the College of Law, in England, and a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Dartmouth College. Edward clerked for the Hon. Howard Dana, Maine Supreme Judicial Court (retired).
Edward is a member of the bar in Maine and Massachusetts and is admitted to the Federal District Court for the District of Maine. He is an officer and board member of Portland Community Rowing Association.
