| Biography:
Eamon Devlin is an associate in Proskauer Rose's London office. Eamon specialises in public and private M&A/funds transactions, including private equity-backed management buyouts, investment funds, public-to-privates, and equity listings, such as IPOs (both Official List and AIM) acting for both issuers and nominated advisers/sponsors. He has advised a number of joint ventures, corporate acquisitions and disposals, and property-based transactions, such as forming private equity real estate funds.
Eamon has acted for businesses in a variety of sectors, including investment funds, real estate, health care, hedge funds, oil, retail, foreign exchange, hotels and leisure, venture capital trusts, IT, electronic gaming, and media.
Recent transactions include advising:
- the founders on the establishment of their new private equity house (and follow-on investments)
- a large US-based private equity house on certain of its European equity investments and ongoing advice relating to its Euronext-listed fund
- a Chinese oil company's admission to AIM in 2007
- a rights issue for an AIM admitted property investment company
- a Venture Capital Trust on its admission to the Official List
- an FTSE 100 company on its acquisitions of a large portfolio of retail warehouses and, separately, a portfolio of tenanted pubs
- a pension fund on its auction bid for one of the UK's largest health providers
- a Canadian client on its bid for one of the UK's biggest fund managers
- an attempted hostile public bid for London Stock Exchange plc
Eamon is a 2001 graduate of BPP Law School in London and graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (Hons) in 1999.
