| Biography:
Matthew Hudson is the managing partner of Proskauer's London office. His practice primarily focuses on private equity, corporate finance and M&A.
Within private equity, Matthew has advised private equity houses on fund formation, carried interest structures, LBOs, MBOs and venture capital. In addition, he has represented management teams, as well as portfolio companies, throughout their financing, exit and M&A activity.
Within corporate finance and M&A, Matthew has acted for sellers, buyers and advisers on all aspects of M&A (both private and public), on IPO's and capital markets.
He also spent 6 years within the private equity industry, undertaking LBOs for a fund established by a global investment bank, venture capital at an early stage investment group, and secondary fund and asset acquisitions at a large secondaries house.
Matthew's management and entrepreneurial experience has involved helping to found the largest European legal group in private equity, founding and acting as CEO of a venture capital group, helping found a boutique investment bank and establishing the London office of a US based Law Firm.
Matthew is ranked as a ‘Leader in his Field’ by Chambers UK 2009 in both (1) Investment Funds: Private Equity and (2) Private Equity: Buyouts.
