| Biography:
Trevor J. Chaplick is a partner in the Corporate Department and co-managing partner of Proskauer Rose LLP’s Washington, D.C. office. He represents technology and growth companies, underwriters, private equity firms, and venture capital funds in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, financings, as well as general corporate and securities law matters.
Trevor has significant international experience, having structured public and private acquisitions and investments in many countries, including the U.K., China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada. He has represented numerous companies in raising venture capital and other private financing from institutional investors across many industries, including software, e-commerce, communications, the Internet, entertainment and media, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

Prior to joining the Firm, Trevor was a partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he founded and was managing partner of the Firm’s first East Coast offices in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Prior to founding such offices, he spent many years practicing law in Silicon Valley with WSGR. He also served on the Operations and Strategy Committees of WSGR. Trevor began his legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP in San Francisco. From 1985 to 1987, Trevor worked in the financial services group of Arthur Andersen LLP in Washington, D.C. Trevor is a CPA in the state of Virginia.
Trevor is a 1990 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief, Virginia Tax Review, and is a 1985 graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, where he graduated With Distinction. His academic and other honors at the University of Virginia included Beta Gamma Sigma, the Raven Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, member of the Jefferson Society and being selected to become a resident of the Lawn.
