Katie Mierau is an associate in the Corporate Department. Katie has a general corporate practice with a particular emphasis on representing institutional investors in private equity funds.
Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, Katie practiced with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, where she represented both issuers and underwriters in international securities offerings. Focusing primarily on emerging market transactions, Katie was a member of the team that successfully launched Russian steel giant OAO Severstal’s IPO on the London Stock Exchange, which was valued at over $1 billion.
Katie received her B.A., summa cum laude, in mathematics and economics from the University of South Florida in 2002. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and her M.B.A., with honors, from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, both in 2006. At Georgetown, Katie served as Administrative Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and published an article on witness preparation and the trial consulting industry.
Katie is admitted to the Bar in New York (2007).
