Carol Liu is an associate in the Corporate Department at Proskauer Rose LLP. She has a general corporate practice with an emphasis on private equity fund formations, private venture capital investment transactions, and junior capital transactions.

Ms. Liu received her J.D. with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. While there, she served as a staff member of North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. She joined the Firm after a one-year clerkship with the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Prior to coming to the United States, Ms. Liu worked with China Customs, where she counseled on international trade issues, with an emphasis on customs law and other laws affecting imports and exports. She received her undergraduate education and a Master of Law degree both from Central China Normal University.

Ms. Liu was qualified in the People’s Republic of China in 1999 and admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2005. She is fluent in English and Mandarin and has published scholarly articles in both languages.
