Biography:

Peter J. Antoszyk is a partner in the Corporate Department, co-head of the Distressed Debt Group, and a member of the Junior Capital Group and the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group. Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, he was a partner in the Boston office of an international law firm where he was a partner in the firm’s finance and bankruptcy practices.

In 1982, Mr. Antoszyk received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and in 1985 he received his J.D. from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Florida.

Junior Capital Transactions

Mr. Antoszyk concentrates on working with national and international clients on a range of corporate finance and junior capital matters in syndicated and “club” deals domestically and internationally. He has substantial experience in all types of junior capital matters, including subordinated term and second lien loans, holdco structures, secured mezzanine, synthetic mezzanine, “silent firsts” and other creative junior capital structures. Proskauer’s Junior Capital Group currently represents over 40 private equity and debt providers in all types of domestic and international junior capital transactions ranging from $1 to $250 million.

Junior Capital Restructuring

Mr. Antoszyk also spends a substantial amount of time working with financial institutions and funds in restructurings, workouts and insolvency proceedings on behalf of Proskauer’s Junior Capital clients.

Mr. Antoszyk is a national director of the American Bankruptcy Institute and former chair of the ABI’s Finance & Banking Committee. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. He is also a past member of the national board of the Turnaround Management Association and two-term past president of the Turnaround Management Association for New England.

Mr. Antoszyk frequently lectures and writes articles for industry publications and has been quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Deal, The Secured Lender and other publications and appeared on CNN Street Sweep. Some recent examples include:
