Steven Netishen is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Investment Funds Group. He has a general corporate practice with a particular focus on domestic and international private equity transactions. Steven represents general partners in the formation and maintenance of private equity funds and funds-of-funds. He also represents domestic and foreign institutional investors with respect to their investments across the private equity asset class.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Steven was a special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense of the United States Department of Defense, and served as chief of staff to the President and CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies “CSIS,” a bipartisan public policy and research institution in Washington, D.C. Steven also worked in the asset management division at the former Boston Financial Group.
Steven received his B.S., summa cum laude, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire in 1998, where he also graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He completed post-graduate work at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 2002. Steven received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2007, with a business law concentration.
