| Biography:
Beverly Frank is senior counsel in the Labor & Employment and Litigation Departments of Proskauer Rose’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Frank represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including litigation and preventive counseling.
Ms. Frank has extensive experience handling litigation under the numerous federal and state statutes and common laws that apply in the workplace, including Title VII; the ADA; the ADEA; the Family and Medical Leave Act, the WARN Act; the post-Civil War Civil Rights Acts; state human rights, wage payment and labor laws; and state common law, including wrongful termination, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and defamation. Ms. Frank has represented clients in labor arbitrations and mediations, and counsels employers regarding employment policies and benefits, disciplinary actions, executive-level contract disputes, and sexual harassment and workplace violence issues.
Ms. Frank also has extensive experience in trade secret and unfair competition litigation, and in employment and litigation issues relating to the entertainment industry. She has represented clients in the entertainment industry in copyright infringement litigation, contractual and royalty disputes, and other litigation matters.
Prior to joining Proskauer Rose, Ms. Frank was partner in the litigation department of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and a member of that firm’s entertainment, advertising and media practice group. Prior to Manatt, she worked in the litigation and employment law groups of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, and Vedder, Price, Kaufman & Kammholz in New York.
Ms. Frank received her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and her B.A. from Georgetown University. Ms. Frank served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jillyn K. Schulze, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She is a frequent speaker and author of employment law topics. Ms. Frank serves on the Southwest Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League and the Board of the Western Justice Center Foundation. Ms. Frank is admitted to practice in New York and California.
