| Biography:
Jake Baron is an associate in the Patent Law and Intellectual Property Groups at Proskauer Rose LLP.
Jake’s practice focuses on litigating intellectual property matters. He has been involved in all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and appeals before the Federal Circuit. In the area of patent litigation, he has worked on cases involving a broad range of technologies, including: voice over IP technology(VoIP), power amplifiers, telecommunications routing, automobile navigation systems, flat panel displays, anti hypertensive and heart failure medications, and general pharmaceutical formulation. In addition, he has extensive ANDA litigation experience (pharmaceutical patent litigation).
Jake also has experience in patent and trademark prosecution matters, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Jake received his law degree from Boston College Law School, and his B.S., magna cum laude, in mechanical engineering technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Jake is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
