| Biography:
Kerri is an associate in the New York office of Proskauer Rose LLP, where she practices in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Law Practice Group. She regularly researches issues regarding compliance with ERISA and Internal Revenue Code requirements for Taft-Hartley multiemployer and single employer benefit plan clients. She provides assistance regarding ERISA's fiduciary duty provisions and reporting and disclosure requirements; plan qualification issues under the Internal Revenue Code; and the requirements imposed by COBRA, HIPAA, and the numerous other federal and state laws affecting employee benefits.
In addition, Kerri frequently assists clients in drafting employment agreements, adopting severance arrangements and other benefit programs, and drafting employee communication materials.
Kerri also has experience researching issues for pension plans regarding ERISA’s regulation of investments in private equity and other alternative investments, as well as drafting investment management agreements and side letter agreements in order to ensure compliance.
Kerri received her juris doctor from Fordham Law School, magna cum laude, where she was a Notes and Articles editor on the Fordham Law Review. She was also a recipient of the New York State Bar Association Ethics Award for her Note titled “Privileged or Not? How the Current Application of the Government Attorney-Client Privilege Leaves the Government Feeling Unprivileged.” Kerri earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross.
