| Biography:
Ian B. Blumenstein is a partner in the Corporate Department and is resident
in the New York and Boston offices of Proskauer Rose LLP.
Ian's practice is focused on high-yield debt financings in which
he advises both issuers and underwriters, and other equity and debt capital markets transactions
for corporate and investment banking clients. Over the course of his career,
Ian has represented many of the world's top investment banks, including
Bear Stearns, Credit Suisse, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies & Company, Bank
of America, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch. He was recognized in the 2007 edition of US Legal 500 for his work in Capital Markets.
Ian also has extensive experience representing companies in mergers
and acquisitions and other general corporate matters, including joint ventures,
'34 Act compliance, derivative securities, employment matters, and copyright
and trademark matters.
Ian previously was a partner in the New York office and managing
partner of the Boston office of a large global law firm, which he joined as
an associate in 1989. Ian also served as Managing Director, High
Yield Capital Markets, of BancBoston Robertson Stephens from 1998 to 1999.
Ian received his B.A. with high honors and high distinction from
the University of Michigan in 1986 and his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law
School in 1989. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
