| Biography:
John Ingrassia represents parties to civil antitrust litigation and government
investigations, with a significant focus on analysis of Hart-Scott-Rodino pre-merger
notification requirements; coordination and submission of Hart-Scott-Rodino
filings; and the analysis and resolution of antitrust issues related to mergers,
acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. Ingrassia has extensive experience with
the legal, practical and technical requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
Mr. Ingrassia also regularly advises clients regarding international antitrust
issues arising in proposed acquisitions and joint ventures, including reportability
under the EC Merger Regulation and numerous other foreign competition filing
regimes; and identifying, retaining and liaising with local counsel to coordinate
foreign pre-merger notifications and ensure the efficacy and consistency of
the competition law theories advanced.
Mr. Ingrassia is the Continuing Legal Education Law Liaison of the District of Columbia
Bar International Law Section and has most recently served as its Chair of the
Antitrust and Competition Law Committee. He received his law degree from Hofstra
University School of Law in 1995.
