Alyssa Feder is an associate in Proskauer’s Personal Planning Department. Her practice is dedicated exclusively to the areas of trusts and estates, including estate planning and probate and trust administration. She also assists Proskauer's Litigation Department in probate and trust litigation matters. Alyssa counsels a wide range of moderate to high net worth individuals and families on estate planning and other family wealth transfer issues, assisting in the creation of suitable plans and techniques to maximize and protect the transfer of wealth to each subsequent generation, and also advises individual and professional fiduciaries in probate and testamentary legal and tax-related issues.
Alyssa received her J.D. from Shepard Broad Law Center, Nova Southeastern University and her LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Her publications include the following articles: Gift-Splitting: The Intricacies of § 2513 of the Code, 78 Florida Bar Journal No. 11, 38 (2004), and The Anatomy of the New Federal Gift Tax Return Including a Review of the Gift Tax Statute of Limitations, Gift Splitting Provisions and Final Regulations Regarding the Election Out of the Automatic Allocation of Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Exemption, 64 New York University Institute on Federal Taxation, 2006.
