| Biography:
Jamiel E. Poindexter is a partner in the Tax Department at Proskauer Rose LLP and is a member of the Private Investment Funds Group. Mr. Poindexter focuses on tax and economic issues associated with the formation of and investments in U.S. and non-U.S. venture capital funds, buyout funds, funds-of-funds, secondary funds, and other investment partnerships. He advises U.S. and non-U.S. individuals, funds-of-funds, tax-exempt organizations, government entities, and other institutions in connection with investments in private equity funds and other investment partnerships. He is experienced with venture capital portfolio investments, including investments in U.S. and non-U.S. corporations and partnerships.
Mr. Poindexter received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1995 and his J.D.
from Harvard University in 1998. Mr. Poindexter is admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts
(1998).
Mr. Poindexter was selected as a “Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star” in 2007 and 2008.
