Biography:

Todd A. Gerety is an associate in the Patent Law and Intellectual Property Practice Groups at Proskauer Rose LLP.

Mr. Gerety's practice focuses on the analysis, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, both in the United States and abroad. He has substantial experience in preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications; analyzing, counseling and preparing legal opinions involving patent infringement/non-infringement and patent invalidity; and performing intellectual property due diligence analysis. He also has experience in patent and trade secret litigation matters.

Mr. Gerety has a broad range of experience in numerous technologies, including wireless telecommunications, network switching/routing architectures and protocols, software, speech analysis and synthesis, electronic/computer systems, electro-optics, and medical devices.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Gerety worked as a software engineer in the Network Management and Client Software Groups at Intel Corporation and Shiva Corporation.

Mr. Gerety received his B.S. in electrical engineering, cum laude, from Tufts University, and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
