| Biography:
David G. Miranda is an associate in the Patent Law and Intellectual Property Groups at Proskauer Rose LLP.
David’s practice concentrates on the analysis, protection, and enforcement of intellectual property rights, both in the United States and abroad. David has experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent and trademark applications; developing patent portfolios for start-up, small, large, and European companies; analyzing, counseling and preparing opinions for clients regarding patent infringement and validity issues; performing intellectual property due diligence, negotiating and preparing patent licenses; preparing non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements; and addressing client-vendor contract issues. David has a broad range of experience in several technologies, including enterprise system architectures, software development frameworks, Internet technologies, thin-client software, Voice over IP, PDA networking, RAID management and architectures, medical image storage and management architectures, biometric authentication over a network, network bandwidth allocation algorithms, plasma arc torch technologies, switching power supply controlling integrated circuits, arbitrary waveform synthesizer circuits, RF detection temperature compensation
circuits, GPS technology, pulsing dye lasers, power supply circuits, optical circuit noise reduction, lens distortion measurement techniques, image resolution techniques, infrastructures for mobile phone networks, infrastructures and business methods for financial services, power amplifiers, medical devices, and accessories for handguns.
David brings over 10 years of technical industrial experience to the legal profession. Before becoming an attorney, he worked as an engineer in the aerospace division of United Technologies Corporation. His responsibilities included designing hardware, software, and test systems, and managing engineering teams on projects from conception to production, concentrating in electronic environmental control systems for aircraft cabins and electronic fuel controls for aircraft engines.
David received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with distinction, Tau Beta Pi, from the University of Rochester, his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his J.D., summa cum laude, valedictorian, from Suffolk University Law School. David is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
