Jurate Schwartz is an associate in Proskauer Rose LLP's Labor and Employment Law Department, where she represents clients in all areas of labor and employment relations. She defends clients against claims of employment discrimination, breach of contract, and employment-related torts in both federal and state courts, as well as in arbitrations and administrative proceedings.

Jurate has written several articles on various employment law topics under Florida law for Proskauer Rose’s “Law & the Workplace” newsletter. She also has co-authored “Florida Law Offers No Sure Answer About Politics in the Workplace,” which appeared in Orlando Business Journal in October, 2004.

Jurate graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University in 1996, and summa cum laude from the Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University in 2003. While at Nova, Jurate was honored by the Florida Bar as an Outstanding Labor & Employment Law School Student
