Jean-Baptiste Martin is an associate in the Firm's Labor and Employment Law Department, residing in the Paris office. His practice focuses on counseling and litigating on behalf of employers in France and abroad. He has experience in all aspects of labor and employment law, including hiring, disciplinary matters, collective layoffs, individual settlement agreements, establishment of personnel representative organizations, implementation of working hours arrangements, harassment and discrimination issues, and social protection litigation.
Jean-Baptiste spends a large part of his time helping clients navigate the labor law issues involved in corporate restructurings and collective bargaining procedures. He also counsels clients regarding the labor law aspects of the due diligence component of company acquisitions and reorganization operations, including downsizings and transfers of undertakings. His litigation work involves appearing before all the specialized labor law tribunals in France, as well as before civil courts and those regarding repressive matters.
Jean-Baptiste also lectures to students at the Bar School and to clients of the Firm. He graduated from Tulane University School of Law.
