Biography:

Steven A. Fishman, a Special Counsel in Proskauer Rose's Corporate Department, concentrates in corporate and real estate securities and finance matters. Mr. Fishman has extensive experience in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of public and private limited partnerships; roll-up transactions; formation of real estate joint ventures; and debt and equity financings of real estate companies and ventures. He also has extensive experience in connection with initial public offerings, representation of public companies, mergers and acquisitions, and other areas of corporate and commercial law.

Mr. Fishman has been involved in sophisticated and complex real estate securities transactions. He has represented Apollo in connection with the acquisitions of control of private limited partnerships. He represented Casden Properties, Inc. in connection with the formation of a private real estate investment trust and the acquisition of interests in over 100 properties from public and private limited partnerships. He also represented CGS Real Estate Company, Inc. in a roll-up transaction.

Mr. Fishman received his BA (cum laude) from the University of New York at Stony Brook and his JD (cum laude, Order of the Coif) from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review.
