Josh Alloy is an associate in Proskauer Rose LLP's Labor and Employment Law
Department, where he represents clients in all areas of labor and employment
relations. He defends clients against claims of employment discrimination, breach
of contract, and constitutional violations in both federal and state courts,
as well as in arbitrations and administrative proceedings. He regularly counsels
clients on FLSA classification and wage-hour issues, and also represents clients
in disputes arising from collective bargaining relationships.
Josh has written several articles on various employment and labor law topics,
as well as the chapter entitled "Addition by Contraction" which was
published in the book Legal Issues in Professional Baseball (L. Kurlantzick,
ed., 2005). He also co-authored "Redefining the FLSA's White Collar Exemptions
for the 21st Century," which appeared in HR Advisor (July/August
2004).
Josh graduated with honors from Swarthmore College in 1998, and cum laude
from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 2001. While at Penn,
he was a senior editor of the Law Review, was elected to the Order of
the Coif, and received the M.H. Goldstein Memorial Prize for labor law.
