Karen D. Coombs is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and is resident in the New York office of Proskauer Rose LLP.

Karen's practice includes a variety of commercial litigation matters before state and federal courts and arbitration panels. She has litigated securities and financial disputes, trade secret, non-compete and intellectual property cases, bankruptcy proceedings, and judgment enforcement matters, as well as general business and contract disputes. Karen also has substantial appellate experience, assisting in enforcing a $300 million foreign judgment on behalf of her client, DaimlerChrysler (a decision unanimously affirmed by both the First Department and the New York Court of Appeals), and in representing the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the successful defense of its 2003 fare and toll hike.

Karen received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995, and received her B.A. from Barnard College in 1991. While in law school, Karen was a member of the University of Miami Law Review. Following law school, Karen was a law clerk to Senior Judge Max Rosenn of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
