| Biography:
Andrew D. Levy is a member of the Corporate Department, resident in Proskauer's Boca Raton office. He maintains a broad transactional practice, handling a variety of corporate and real estate matters.
Andrew’s corporate practice involves the structuring, formation, drafting and negotiation of limited partnerships and other joint ventures; advising borrowers and lenders in commercial/secured loan transactions; assisting clients in private finance/capital raising transactions; handling all phases of mergers and acquisitions transactions; and drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses, employment agreements, and vendor and other contracts.
In the real estate area, Andrew handles a wide range of transactions involving acquisitions and sales of commercial properties. He also represents borrowers and lenders in financing transactions secured by real estate.
Andrew serves as outside general counsel for many of his clients. In that capacity, he provides ongoing advice on a full range of legal matters. Often this involves the development of pre-litigation case resolution strategies and the management and coordination of legal issues being handled by other practice groups, such as employment disputes, intellectual property and litigation matters.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Andrew was an associate in the corporate department at White & Case, LLP in Miami. At White & Case, Andrew's broad-based transactional practice included representation of venture capital funds in a variety of private investments and divestitures, as well as representation of broadcasting companies in structured lease financings of broadcasting equipment.
Prior to relocating to Florida, Andrew was an associate at Shearman & Sterling in New York, where for a number of years he maintained a singular focus on cross-border leveraged lease transactions, representing, variously, equity participants and lessees in transactions involving aircraft, railroad rolling stock, power plants and transmission lines.
Andrew is a 1992 graduate of Tulane University and a 1995 graduate of New York Law School.
