| Biography:
George Karibjanian is a senior counsel in Proskauer's Personal Planning Department. George practices almost exclusively in the estate planning, probate and trust areas of the law. He also assists Proskauer's Litigation Department in matters involving probate litigation and advises Proskauer clients and other professionals in matters involving the Florida intangibles tax. George counsels a wide range of moderate to high net worth individuals and families on estate planning and other family wealth transfer issues, assisting in the creation of suitable plans and techniques to maximize and protect the transfer of wealth to each subsequent generation, and also advises individual and professional fiduciaries in probate and testamentary legal and tax-related issues. George has written numerous articles on estate planning topics and techniques for circulation to Proskauer clients.
Since beginning his private practice at law in 1988, George has practiced exclusively in the State of Florida. George has been with Proskauer since December 1996.
George earned his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1987 and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1984. He also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida in 1988.
George is a member of the Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations and is a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.
Originally from Vineland, New Jersey (in the southern part of the state), George and his family have resided in Boca Raton since 1988. George has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Boca Raton from 1991 to 1998, serving as President in 1997-98, and has served as a member of the St. Jude's Church (Boca Raton) Financial Education Council from 1994 to 1998.
