Biography:

Marc Persily is a partner in Proskauer's New York office, practicing corporate law since joining the Firm from law school. His practice focuses on advising private equity funds, investment banks and issuers in a variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, equity financing and venture capital transactions. He was recently recognized by the US Legal 500 as a leader in both Private Equity - Buyouts and Private Equity - Funds.

Marc has represented JPMorgan Chase & Co. for more than 10 years in connection with private equity transactions, including fund investments, investments in major public and private leveraged buyout transactions, venture capital investments in start-up and later stage companies, portfolio company sales and other exits. In addition, Marc has represented JPMorgan as the sponsor of private equity funds.

Marc regularly represents Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Baker Capital and other private equity clients in a range of transactions.
Marc also has broad experience handling general corporate matters including commercial arrangements, regulatory compliance, structuring and compensation advice.

Marc graduated in 1995 from the University of Virginia School of Law. He received an A.B. with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University in 1990.
