Biography:

Matthew Triggs is a partner in Proskauer's Florida Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Matt has actively and aggressively litigated a wide variety of matters ranging from complex commercial disputes to securities class actions, broker-dealer arbitrations, real property title disputes and employment discrimination claims, having represented clients such as Club Med, Office Depot, Chase Manhattan and Infinity Radio, Inc. Matt litigates extensively in both state and federal court and frequently counsels clients with respect to alternative forms of dispute resolution.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Computer Science/Business Administration degree with high honors in 1986. Matt earned his law degree at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, where he graduated third in his class, was a member of the Board of the Law Review, and was elected into the Order of the Coif.

A member of both the Georgia and Florida Bars, Matt is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts (including all trial and appellate courts and the Florida Supreme Court); the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida; the Courts of Law and Equity of the State of Georgia; the Georgia Court of Appeals; the Georgia Supreme Court; and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Matt lives in West Palm Beach with his wife, Amy, and their three children. He is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and former member of the Grievance Committee for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. Matt also serves on the Board of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, and is a Fellow of the Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide non-profit organization which promotes the charitable interests of Florida's legal profession.
