| Biography:
Aaron Schindel has been a member of Proskauer's Labor Department since 1979 and a partner in the Firm since 1986. Aaron is principally involved in employment
litigation, including trials and appeals before the courts, discrimination agencies and ADR organizations. He also has an active practice in traditional labor law
matters before the NLRB and arbitrators.
Much of Aaron's time is devoted to counseling clients on day-to-day and extraordinary matters, such as discharge and disciplinary issues; preparation and implementation of reduction-in-force
programs; and compliance with the vast array of federal, state and city labor and employment laws. Aaron has represented clients in such diverse industries
as transportation, banking, publishing, chemicals, health care, entertainment and education. He has written and lectured on a number of labor and employment
law issues, including the extraterritorial reach of U.S. labor and employ ment laws, labor considerations in corporate acquisitions, union organizing, equal
employment opportunity law and the handling of discrimination charges.
Aaron is the Chair of the International Employ ment Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Section on International Law and Practice. He was a principal
editor of the three-volume treatise, New York Employment Law (Matthew Bender 1992), and the New York Employment Discrimination Handbook (Matthew Bender).
Aaron received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and is a 1978 graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was an editor on the Law
Review.
