| Biography:
Bernard M. Plum focuses mainly on collective bargaining, arbitration, and strategic planning in the newspaper, entertainment, utilities, financial services, and airline industries. Bernie has served as chief spokesperson and strategist in a wide variety of collective bargaining situations, and has also litigated labor and employment matters in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois and California.
Bernie has, for many years, served as chief spokesperson for Broadway theater owners and producers, including in the recent groundbreaking negotiations with Local 1, IATSE. He represented Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road in their precedent-setting suit to enjoin sympathy strikes by railroad workers in support of striking Eastern Airlines Machinists, as well as many other employers faced with unlawful work stoppages. Among the employers Bernie represents are The New York Times Co.; The Boston Globe; Dow Jones; American Lawyer Media; The League of American Theatres & Producers; The New York City Ballet, PPL, Inc.; and HSBC USA.
A graduate of Columbia Law School, where he served as Notes Editor for the Columbia Law Review, Bernie also received a Master's degree in economic history from the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
