| Biography:
Francis Landrey, a 1976 graduate of Boston University School of Law, joined Proskauer Rose LLP in 1977 upon completion of his one-year clerkship with Hon. Robert P. Anderson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Francis is an experienced litigator in state and federal courts. Francis' practice in the Litigation Department at Proskauer has covered numerous subject areas including insurance coverage disputes, SEC regulatory proceedings; antitrust, securities fraud, accountants' liability, breach of contract and other commercial disputes.
Francis has recently concentrated on insurance coverage matters for clients in the financial services and construction industries. These cases include efforts to obtain indemnification under directors’ and officers’ liability policies and bankers’ professional liability policies and providing advice to financial services clients concerning liability coverage generally, as well as the application of general liability and contractors liability policies to claims arising out of the debris removal project at the World Trade Center site. In addition, Francis was part of the team of Proskauer lawyers who represented the lessee of the World Trade Center in its dispute with its insurers over the property damage claim arising out of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Francis also represents a financial services sector client in connection with SEC and NASD investigations concerning regulatory compliance. Previously, Francis represented a pharmaceutical company in multiple litigations primarily involving antitrust and FDA regulatory issues and was involved in defending multidistrict litigation involving RICO and antitrust claims arising out of allegations of commercial bribery.
