| Biography:
Perry A. Cacace joined Proskauer Rose LLP in 1979 and has been a partner in the Firm's Real Estate Department for twenty years. Perry has handled a broad range of transactions, including the financing, sale, acquisition and development of office buildings, hotels, sports stadiums and arenas, and other commercial properties.
Recent transactions include:
- Representation of a joint venture between the New York Jets and the New York Giants in connection with the development and financing a new football stadium in the Meadowlands;
- Representation of TriLyn-Investcorp Mezzanine Partners I, LP in connection with a mezzanine loan to the sponsor of a condominium conversion of property in Bethesda, Maryland;
- Representation of Bank of Scotland in connection with the financing of residential/recreational development projects located in Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Scotland;
- Representation of TriLyn LLC and Investcorp International in connection with the financing of a residential/recreational development project located in North Carolina;
- Representation of J.D. Carlisle Development Corp. in connection with the development of a cancer treatment facility located in New York for NYU Hospitals Center;
- Representation of J.D. Carlisle Development Corp. and DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners in connection with mixed-use development projects in New York;
- Representation of J.D. Carlisle Development Corp. in a joint venture with UBS Real Estate Investments relating to a residential condominium development project in New York.
Other significant transactions include:
- Representation of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation in connection with the financing of approximately 140 commercial properties located in over 30 states;
- Representation of Apollo Real Estate Investment Fund in connection with the securitization of a portfolio of mortgage loans; the sale of interests in luxury hotel properties located in New York, Miami and San Francisco to a prominent hotel operator; and the financing of tender offers for limited partner interests in approximately 90 syndicated limited partnerships;
- Representation of the owner of USX Tower in Pittsburgh in connection with the restructuring and sale of the mortgage indebtedness secured by the property.
Perry is a member of Proskauer's Real Estate Finance Group, Sports Law Group and Lodging and Gaming Practice Group and regularly advises clients in these areas with respect to real estate and related matters
Perry is an honors graduate of Wesleyan University and New York Law School.
