President-elect Obama has promised to sign into law The Employee Free Choice Act, which is organized labor's number one legislative priority for 2009. EFCA's passage in its present form would result in a wave of union organizing unlike any that has ever been seen before in this country.

Under EFCA, all it would take to unionize your workforce is signed authorization cards from a majority of your employees, an easy task for most skilled organizers. No longer will employers be in a position to demand a secret-ballot election supervised by the National Labor Relations Board. And, no longer will they have the luxury of waiting until a petition is filed to begin a counter-campaign.

Getting ahead of the organizers will be the name of the game, and that's what this seminar -- aimed at senior human resources executives and the lawyers who work with them -- is all about. We will explain how EFCA would tip the odds decidedly in favor of unions, and how you can prepare to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
